Unlike many beaches which have eroded, the one in front of Bethams Beach Cottages has accumulated more white sand and grown over the years as a result of environmentally friendly foreshore management.
Bethams Beach Cottages Manager Rob attributed this to not using a conventional seawall.
Instead they have used naturally growing foliage and scattered rocks which strengthen the foreshore and absorb the energy of the waves.
